Hello,
My name is Jessica Palmer and I will begin my third year teaching 8th grade Earth Science at Paradise this year. I grew up in south Louisiana where my love for the outdoors began and still continues. That love inspired me to go to college and received a bachelors degree in Science with a concentration in Wildlife Management from Tarleton State University. When I graduated I started as a biologist for the state of Louisiana conducting fisheries research in the Gulf of Mexico for a few years before returning to Texas. I then took a job with Texas Parks and Wildlife at Possum Kingdom Fish Hatchery and raised a variety of fish and stocked them into public waters. Teaching the public about the research I have done or the process in raising fish always excited me to enlighten people about the work being done to preserve fisheries for future generations. I am excited about teaching at Paradise and getting to share my joys in science and make the students stewards in any field they wish to choose.
In my free time I love spending time with family, reading books, saltwater fishing, hunting, and traveling.
